Mariko Yoshisato Cavey is a Network Facilitator with the National Center for Rural Education Research Networks (NCRERN) at the Center for Education Policy Research. Mariko brings a breadth of experience cultivating university-school-community partnerships to advance students’ postsecondary readiness, opportunity, and success. Prior to joining NCRERN, she facilitated educator capacity-building efforts to support college and career pathways for rural youth throughout California’s diverse mountain, desert, and agricultural communities. Mariko holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.S. in School Counseling from San Diego State University.
